Svetlana Khimina is a senior research analyst for IDC’s European Customer Insights & Analysis team. In this role she develops both quantitative and qualitative vertical markets research on IT strategies and takes part in consulting and forecasting activities. Furthermore, she is involved in the production of a number of IDC Spending Guides (Internet of Things and Connected Consumers among others), in the development of custom market models and an active contributor to the IDC European Edge Computing Launchpad.
Svetlana holds an MBA from University of Virginia Darden School of Business (USA) and a PhD in Marketing from Bocconi University (Italy), where she worked as innovation researcher. Prior to academia, she worked as a head of product development in large Russian IT and Media companies (Aktion Media, Consultant Plus), leading web and software products creation, as well as business process optimization.
Svetlana is based in Milan and speaks Russian, English and Italian fluently.
