Giulia Besana is a research analyst for IDC Health Insights in EMEA. She focuses on the key trends related to the IT strategies and investments of healthcare and life sciences companies in Europe.
Giulia has worked in Switzerland and Italy, at both a global and local level in the pharma and data science industries. She coordinated market research for Novartis in Basel, and worked in the marketing team at IQVIA in Milan, overseeing the publication of market trends and business insight and supporting the sales force in market and opportunity assessment. While she was studying she worked as a research assistant in business ethics at the Università della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano.
She has an MSc in management, communication, and health from the Università della Svizzera Italiana and a BA in foreignlanguages and literature from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan. In addition to her native Italian, she is also fluentin English and German.
